@LawrieHooper I took your vague "I don't have a settled view ..." as looking to engage in "big discussions" with Daphne rather than a vigorous defence of freedoms enjoyed in IoM. It will be a revelation if you do turn out to have a backbone.
@LawrieHooper@LiberalVannin You're making my argument for me. A private developer wouldn't do it. Not a good financial investment whether it's done by the private or public sector. You just like to have taxpayers fund your projects. With Hooper it's more and more tax and public sector spending.
@LawrieHooper@LiberalVannin If it was economic there wouldn't be a housing crisis. Any private developer could contruct housing to rent at 30-50% discount to market rate and offer it to socially disadvantaged tenants. They don't.
@Tulip19871@craigkellyAFEE I have no personal knowledge of anyone who died from Covid nor anyone who died with Covid. I did know someone - she was just 39 - who died from the shot.
@LawrieHooper@LiberalVannin You’re attempting to bribe voters with their own money by calling a £100 million public‑housing subsidy an “investment” after private investors it as uneconomic. Voters will see through it. Take responsibility for this. It happened on your watch and you failed.
@LawrieHooper@LiberalVannin It would seem the private sector in IoM disagrees. You, on the other hand, just seem to enjoy spending taxpayers money. £1.47 bn this year over £18,000 per person. Increase of £340 million whilst you’ve been in office. Didn’t you resign as you wanted even more.
@LawrieHooper@LiberalVannin If the government borrows, the capital and interest must ultimately be paid from tax. If taken from other budgets like health, it’s still paid for from tax. And if it’s taken from investment funds or pension reserves, the shortfall created has to be filled by tax.
@LawrieHooper@LiberalVannin The sector as a whole operates at a structural loss once you include the full costs of building, maintaining, and upgrading homes. Rents typically are 30 - 50% below market rate. What I said was it isn't credible to present social housing as an investment opportunity.
@LawrieHooper You are responsible. I wrote to you that this Act was the worse piece of legislation I had seen and gave some of the many reasons why it was poorly conceived, unworkable and in breach of international obligations. Having David Lammy reject your work is humiliating.
@JohnWannenburgh More than twice the global average price for electricity. Ideological policy that will make the IoM less efficient. Wannenburgh is cheerleading for the poor, vulnerable and elderly to live in damp unheated homes.
@ZKForTre@NutritionMadeS3 No studies so I conducted n of 1 and not so far. I'm on 5 mg x 2 daily apixaban for iatrogenic harm. Titrated nattokinase and lumbrokinase over weeks. Now at 16,000 FU nattokinase and 2,000,000 LFU lumbrokinase. No bruising, slow to clot but same as just apixaban.
@ZKForTre@NutritionMadeS3 Nattokinase is not a blood thinner in the usual sense rather its a fibrinolytic enzyme with mild anticoagulant effects. I no longer trust MDs. I sceptically look at the relevant studies, commentary and the risk/reward with AI and a prudent approach to intervention.
@ZKForTre@NutritionMadeS3 Nattokinase is inexpensive, and the Chen data show high‑dose efficacy with a low risk profile. Atherosclerosis is lethal. So I lean toward nattokinase (and lumbrokinase). You’re free to hold out for perfect evidence and enjoy the epistemic smugness in the afterlife.
@ZKForTre@NutritionMadeS3 The Chen dataset did show efficacy of the overall protocol, unless you’re claiming the data were falsified. Doesn't the low-dose function as a control of sorts to the high-dose and at least narrow the confounders, even if it doesn’t eliminate them?
