Slow and Steady wins the race!
Some trading months will be slow, some fast. But as long as your system has an edge, it's just a matter of time..keep executing
People buy a $300,000 house to make ~$2,000/month in rent.
Prop traders buy a $100.000 account for $500 and try to make $20,000/month.
Stop being greedy.
Consistent 2–4% payouts are the way to go.
Increase capital, not % targets.
If you think you can make 5-10% a month consistently forever you are mistaken
Sometimes you’ll have multiple positive months in a row
Sometimes you’ll have multiple negative / break-even months in a row
You might even have negative years - I’m yet to experience this since becoming profitable but it’s always possible for a trader
This is why you should be saving most of your trading / prop firm profits
Don’t be spending money like an idiot since trading isn’t as consistent as you think it is
Nothing is out of your reach.
We are living in a golden age of trading.
There is an abundance of information that wasn't readily available even just 10 years ago.
-You can watch people trade live
-It's easy to join a community
-You have access to funding via prop
-You can automate your strategies without knowing how to code like an engineer
You have ALL the tools you need right at your fingertips.
All you need to do is commit to the journey.
abuse your unfair advantage everywhere
everyone has it
> if you live in your mom's basement w no responsibilities, work 12 hr days
> if your know a guy who knows a guy, call that guy
> if your parents paid for ur college, invest your time in up-skilling urself
you were not raised to be a bum
life isnt an even playing field
all the "winners" are not playing fair
to catch up you have to identify your unfair advantage
and abuse it
Following your passion is a myth
It’ll most likely leave you broke and you’ll start to resent your passion because of it
Focus on making a lot of money first - then you can work on your passion without having to worry about it paying your balls
This is often the unpopular reality of profitability in trading.
It doesn’t often look like +x% every month. It can be 3 months each year of excellent performance, and 9 mixed results.
My old coach Steve Ward used to say, some of the greatest traders he ever worked with made 80% of their P&L in 2-3 months each year.
I have grown to only care about one thing: How much am I up by December 31st.
If you’re trading and while being younger than 25
You’re way ahead of the curve
A lot of the profitable traders I know only started in their 30s and 40s and are now making $10,000s a month from it
You guys starting young have so much time to become profitable, compound and make a ton of money
Just stay consistent and you’ll get there
It took me 4 years to become a profitable trader
But that’s because for most of it I:
•Didn’t backtest
•Didn’t journal my trades
•Didn’t take note of my emotions
In my opinion, if you do all of these things then you can probably become profitable in a year or even less
Then again - it depends on the person, everyone’s journey is different
@salmanmunir96@AlphaCapitalUK I was falsely banned for this same reason unfortunately and never refunded. I made a video to expose them: https://t.co/NiMLKHTGHv
@AlphaCapitalUK@StopLossMaster Alpha Capital banned many traders with the same false group trading allegation including myself.
