He has eased family budgets amidst worldwide inflation, and under his tenure, more Americans are working than ever before. His administration has boosted domestic productivity while also making healthcare and prescription drugs more affordable.

He has expanded subsidies, making health insurance under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) more accessible. Inflation has been addressed through the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act.

In the realm of social issues, Biden has ensured the protection of marriage equality and signed significant bipartisan legislation that secures marriage rights for all Americans.

He has fortified our international alliances, benefiting the American populace, and passed the most impactful gun safety legislation in three decades. This includes support for red flag laws, closing legal loopholes, and investing in local anti-violence initiatives.

Under his leadership, American innovation is flourishing. The signing of the Chips and Science Act is a testament to this, boosting American competitiveness, improving supply chains, promoting scientific research, and encouraging semiconductor manufacturing.

Biden has also ensured better access to baby formula through the FORMULA Act and the Access to Baby Formula Act.

His administration was successful in passing a $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill, a significant achievement that saw 32 Republicans join hands with Democrats.

BREAKING: A federal court temporarily blocked a Texas bill that would permit local and state law enforcement to arrest, detain, and deport people they suspect to have entered Texas from another country without federal authorization.

This is a victory for our immigration rights.

In 2022, lawmakers in Louisiana passed a Congressional map with only one majority African American district out of six – even though Black Louisianans make up about a third of the state’s population.

Now a federal court has ordered Louisiana to redraw their maps and create a second Black majority district. It’s a victory for our democracy, and should motivate us to keep pushing for equal representation in every state.

Mississippi hates Black children!

A 10-year-old boy waiting for his mom in the car has to use the bathroom.

Not able to hold it any longer discreetly urinates behind the car.

One officer witnessed this. Called for backup. Four more officers come to the scene.

Now mom is there and wants to just take her kid home.

Nope. They put him in the police car and take him to jail.

The prosecutor wanted a citation “child in need of family services.” The family argued this and wanted a trial. The prosecution then threatened to upgrade charges to disorderly conduct.

Eventually, a youth judge offered a sentence of a writing a book report, three months of probation, and drug testing. Did I mention the curfew?

The family continues to fight the charges.

This would have never happened to a white child.

You don’t know how many times I’ve had to pull over tonthe side of the road when my children were young.

Mississippi is trying to continue the school-to-prison pipeline for Black children.

Today I was told to provide corrections re:a post from yesterday, about the Sunday July 23 meeting of the @PointLomaDem Democratic Club
- @RepScottPeters spoke and mentioned the different ways Republicans deal with immigrants from Ukraine vs. those from Latin American countries.

During the Q&A I followed up and asked Scott about the racial bias in ads sent out by #SDPOA re:@CD4Monica
- I asked if he would denounce those ads even though he has endorsed her opponent, #jgoldbeck

Me: You’ve endorsed her opponent. I’m waiting for #Democrats to speak out against these ads because they really are dog whistles to racism and they portray Monica Mongtomery in very unpleasant images.

@scottpetersSD: "I have not seen the ads but they’re sort of, they’re accusing her of being a police defunder, I guess that’s it?"

Me: "Right..."

#scottpetersSD: "That, that’s not racist.
- Being a police defunder is an argument about policy I think. Isn’t it? Or I mean, is there something I’m missing?"

Me: "The ads portray her as many ads against people of color, including myself, have done in the past:
- Grainy black and white photo
- They’ve darkened her skin..."

... okay, I’ll look out for that."

In retrospect: I'm not sure which is scarier:
-The misleading #sdpoa ads sent out against #Monica4SanDiego
Or
- @scottpeters50's inability to acknowledge and articulate the racist tropes used against a Black woman candidate, to scare people about policing reform.
