The Advocates at @RetireeFirst address that need by guiding members through their coverage. That advocacy is an integral part of RetireeFirst's approach to group health plans and helping our members live happier and healthier lives. https://t.co/44yZzhIdRJ
Here's something retirees on a group Medicare plan get that individual Medicare beneficiaries generally don't: Direct access to expert and compassionate retiree Advocates to help answer their questions about health benefits and resolve issues.
But the truth is, these questions would arise regardless of whether these members have traditional Medicare plans or MA plans. Medicare is a complicated landscape, and most retirees could use some help navigating their health benefits.
...but education and understanding the differences between #Medicare programs are important to consider when making the best decision. We look forward to seeing continued improvements in better serving lower-income Americans and the more vulnerable population.
Potential members may worry about higher costs and limited coverage on #MedicareAdvantage (MA) plans, which often is not the case. MA can be the right option for many people... https://t.co/ctI3QfSfBA
Great article from my colleague Steve Smith about @RetireeFirst's approach to alleviating our public sector clients' pain points.
We've worked in the public sector for years, which helps us understand the unique challenges our clients face when managing member health benefits.
HR teams in the public sector have huge workloads. Navigating #Medicare shouldn't be the task that tips the scale.
Our Senior VP Steve Smith explores how RetireeFirst can help alleviate public sector clients' day-to-day plan administration activities.

Too often, we see plan sponsors face the daunting task of migrating members to Medicare, which can be time-intensive & costly.
Luckily, the @RetireeFirst team was well-equipped to support @TheCityOfLynn & @fallriver_ma in this process!
As they approach retirement, many retirees feel overwhelmed by their healthcare options. We're delighted we could help this member from @fallriver_ma navigate their group health plan with ease!

"125K more #MedicarePartD beneficiaries would have had coverage if it had been in effect in 2019."
Interesting data from @JAMAHealthForum & great summary from @FierceHealth about how this $2K out-of-pocket cap will enhance drug coverage for retirees.

I'm proud to say our @RetireeFirst Advocates address these type of questions and concerns from members every day, and I hope more #retirees are able to access similar resources moving forward.
I got a call from one of my dad's friends who's a retired teacher participating in a group plan that is switching to an #MAPD. He was worried about the move because he keeps coming across bad press about MAPD plans.
Between him, my dad, and other talks I've had with members, this recent phone call highlighted the need for advocacy in the group retiree #healthcare space.
