@espnhomer As he gets more experience, his walks should increase. It’s better this year than last year. He is only 22. All parts of his game need to improve for superstardom.
@jimithyeisen23@SparkyRadio It’s probably a little early to move on from Sal but at this point, he’s probably a 4th outfielder. His offense picked up last year and was hoping for it to take another step but so far this year it has taken a step back. Lara is breathing down his neck.
@SparkyRadio@jimithyeisen23 What about defense and baserunning? Playing Vaughn weakens 2 defense spots and he hits into double plays and can’t run. I love Vaughn playing against LHP. I think it’s time to replace Frelick with Lara.
@colt1962@espnhomer Very subjective to say Astros lineup was better. I don’t think that’s true. 5 more K definitely impressive. 95 pitches for Miz vs 122 for Wood. Miz threw 19 balls vs 38 balls for Wood.
@jeffwagnerradio You don’t win the World Series in June. Another month or two in AAA will do them all good. Pratt and Lara have only been in AAA a couple of months. Williams AAA stats really aren’t worthy of a call up right now. Perkins will go down once Lockridge comes off the Injured list.
@Stevie_C1977@dekker Weakens two defensive spots when Vaughn plays and Bauers goes to the outfield too. Plus baserunning downgrade. The way Sal has been hitting, might be worth it right now though. I love Vaughn but with Bauers cooking, it’s a good problem to have.
@BrazeauJay@TomOatesWSJ It’s obvious better production is needed but not sure the prospects are ready at this point. Probably need to look outside the organization.
@nkp1980eng@jeffwagnerradio Williams wil be up when the Brewers feel he is ready. My thought is he is very close. If he is not ready, they need to stay with Rengifo a bit longer.
@jeffwagnerradio His hitting track record is better than what he has been. So need to trust he will get hot. While not a great defender, he is no error machine. Saying that, I think it’s only a couple weeks away from seeing Williams and moving Rengfio to the bench with Hamilton being sent down.
