RE: Respecting Parental Rights and Allowing Time for Transfer in the Care of Annelise Camp
Dear Texas Children's Hospital Leadership,
I am writing as a concerned parent and citizen regarding the care of Annelise Camp.
Like many families across Texas, I have followed this case with deep concern and compassion. While I recognize the difficult responsibilities carried by physicians and hospital staff, I respectfully ask Texas Children's Hospital to honor the fundamental rights of Annelise's parents to direct the care of their daughter and to provide every reasonable opportunity for them to pursue continued treatment and transfer options.
Parents are ordinarily recognized as the primary decision-makers for their children. When loving and devoted parents are actively seeking treatment, pursuing transfer opportunities, and advocating for their child, those efforts deserve respect and consideration.
I respectfully urge Texas Children's Hospital to refrain from taking actions that could effectively predetermine the outcome of ongoing legal proceedings and instead allow sufficient time for the judicial process to work. Preserving the status quo until the court has fully considered the matter protects not only the interests of this family but also the principles of due process and parental rights that are foundational to our society.
This request is not about politics. It is about compassion, humility, and recognizing that parents who know and love their child should be afforded every reasonable opportunity to pursue care consistent with their beliefs and wishes.
I respectfully ask Texas Children's Hospital to work cooperatively with the Camp family, allow adequate time for transfer arrangements, and continue supporting Annelise while these matters are resolved through appropriate legal channels.
Thank you for your consideration and for the care you provide to children and families every day.
Sincerely,

Dear @WhiteHouse, my name is Rodney Smith Jr., founder of Raising Men & Women Lawn Care Service in Huntsville, Alabama. Through our 50 Yard Challenge, over 6,000 kids across the country have signed up to mow free lawns for the elderly, disabled, veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and single parents. With America celebrating its 250th birthday this year and me also being born on July 4th, I wanted to humbly ask if a few kids from our program and myself could travel to Washington, D.C. to help mow the White House lawn for this historic celebration.
More than anything, I want these kids to see how a simple act of service something as ordinary as mowing a lawn for someone in need can lead to extraordinary places. What better lesson in community service than showing them that helping others can take them all the way to our nation’s capital? I’d also love to bring my American flag-themed mower in hopes that the President might sign it, so I can later auction it off and donate 100% of the proceeds to a nonprofit supporting veterans. It would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to highlight the importance of service, patriotism, and the impact young people can have when they choose to make a difference. 🇺🇸
Does anyone else remember when weather map colors had shades of green? Now they accentuate cold and hot colors. 🤔
Right now it's a beautiful 70⁰, at my house, and the weather channel shows it as orange.🙄
I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
