I DON’T BELIEVE OUR CHARACTERS HAVE BEEN FORMALLY INTRODUCED TO ONE ANOTHER. I AM THE ANTAGONIST. I EXIST IN DIRECT OPPOSITION TO YOUR GOALS AND VALUES. YOU AND I WILL NOT INTERACT AGAIN BUT REST ASSURED I WILL BE DOING VERY BAD THINGS FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE FILM.
Arsenal need to lean into these "boring"/"time-wasting"/"Set Piece FC" accusations. Let the wider world sneer. Create a siege mentality. Dig in. Be mean. For around two decades they were accused of being too soft, now they are apparently the opposite. Ride the hate-wave.
@clivepafc I thought Arteta managed the game well. He stuck with his rotation pattern in spite of the City result, made the correct subs - game didn’t go our way. Ode against physical mid blocks continues to be a selection issue, and I cant wait til Havertz is fully fit.
@kmazing44@_PhilCosta The save on the rice volley was rather good imo, any way you slice it though I thought it was clear we created enough to win this (also there’s the penalty shout). We’ve played worse in games we’ve won this season. I think people are reading way too much into this
@_PhilCosta Yea dude I just completely disagree, Sels made 3 insane saves. sure we missed two sitters (merino and martinelli) and other threatening opportunities that didn’t result in chances but sometimes that shit happens. Forest played really well, on another day we score 2-3 goals
Guess (hope?) he’s betting Gyokeres can provide enough verticality to stretch the mid block, but man Arteta really refuses to play runners on the wings against these kinds of teams and it’s very confusing
