You’re probably not going to read this important op-ed about #climate change, but you should know that it ends with “Consider this your last warning.”
Scientific reports and op-eds are pretty much all these scientists can do to get their message out. They are hemmed in by their own professional standards. It’s not that they don’t know how to connect to normal people -some of them do- it’s just that the way they talk about the problem isn’t mass-media friendly, and it isn’t the way that connects with the average consumer/citizen.
They write long reports. But the rest of us don’t have the attention span for anything longer than 20 second soundbites and sparkly graphics. Every fast-food joint, sneaker company, and successful politician has adapted to this. Scientists can’t.
If the for-profit TV news networks were willing to pitch in and explain precisely how bad climate change will get if we don’t take major steps now, that would be a huge help. But there’s a lot going on in the world, so their attention is split. Plus, they’d lose some of their biggest advertisers if they did. So they don’t.
For the most part, these climate scientists’ messages never leave their own echo chambers. They need your help. They need philanthropists and volunteers who will help them get their message out to the masses.
Calling all Billionaires, Lobbyists, Former Presidents, Local Journalists, and Community Organizers: The whole world needs your brilliant minds to spearhead this effort. Now. They need SOMEONE to find the funds and hire the firms for the world’s most important advertising campaign in history. The fate of humanity depends on it.
“Consider this your last warning from me.”

@JustJobiwan I did the same thing a few years back, i use it very often. Like u said, more convenient. I got mine refurbished, a bit cheaper. Mines from like 2017, still works beautifully, u dont need a new model or even that much memory if u dont mind moving files around every few years

As floods & fires rise, oceans boil & ice melts, and "safe" temperatures are breached, something momentous just happened in the heart of the EU. No one has heard about it: journalists were present, but their editors refused to publish 🤯.
