@AviatorMario@SandyofCthulhu I'd highly recommend the books. An incredible series of historical fiction which starts in British controlled India, the battle of Trafalgar, and then primarily taking place in Spain during the Peninsular war.
@ary050703@ybunnyari@SandyofCthulhu That one stands out as the worst. I've had other pizza in other Italian cities, and they were all bad. Also, you can get good regional BBQ throughout the US.
@DaikataroK@SandyofCthulhu And now I know you're full of ๐ฉ. It's more popular because it's better. I have never had a good pizza in Italy (granted, a small sample size). I can count on 1 hand the number of bad pizza's I've had in the US, and they were always cheap grocery store pizza.
@Milgodjake@SandyofCthulhu The closest I've seen is wood-fired pizza, but even that is American. I have never seen truly authentic Italian pizza in the USA, for good reason.
@_r4x4_@SandyofCthulhu Italian pizza is the only food I can think of where where the sum is worse than its parts. It takes great ingredients and ruins them
@AlastairGrayson@SandyofCthulhu The only pizza I ever met that I didn't like was in Italy. Deep dish, New York style, Detroit style, wood fired, all delicious, all American.
@_r4x4_@SandyofCthulhu You'll notice my comment is specific to pizza. Italian pasta is vastly superior. Their pizza sucks. It's sauce and cheese on an over cooked matzah
@CJSeedge@SandyofCthulhu Jean-Luc Picard was always reading in his ready room so long as he had someone, usually Riker, in the captain's seat. When you're in the chair you're working, attentive, and giving orders
@HMBohemond It holds up in practice as well, hence the longevity of the meme. Leftists tend to adhere to suicidal empathy, creating policies to favor folks in those outer layers at the expense of the inner layers
