britain runs on old money. almost everyone you know with a nice house got there the same way: a relative died and the property sold.

wealth in this country is inheritance and bricks. it just gets recycled between generations. very few people get rich from something they actually built.

we need A LOT more new money. and new money in 2026 means ai. startup hubs in london, manchester, glasgow, edinburgh. hardware in the midlands and north of scotland. data centres, energy, defence.

but try building any of it. you can't put up a garden shed without permission, never mind a data centre. the red tape has to go.

One of the major lessons here has been how even the highly educated elite is using Arday's "downfall" as a Trojan horse. They are laundering their anti-Black prejudice under the guise of academic integrity.

The usual suspects leading this charge are using Arday as a battering ram against diversity initiatives. They have deliberately tied the legitimacy of all Black academia to one man's success, creating a dynamic where his isolated failings are now used as a systemic indictment of an entire community.

They are trying to gatekeep their racial-elite spaces by using the weapon that has worked for their ancestors before them.

How many White academics have done worse? How many have been used to indict the entire White academic community and question their place in universities? They are treated as just "a few bad apples".
They have, including all other privileges, the right to fail as individuals and individuals alone.

By all means investigate Arday, but when you start masking your racial resentment behind a sudden devotion to academic standards, that is just modern segregation acting exactly as it is intended.

But if he goes, you replace him. So you sign another player for £150k wages = £7.8m / annually, probably for 5 years with an optional 6th.

That’s a £35.4m difference before counting in transfer fee / payment installment, agent fees, signing fee.

It’s bullshit. £35m isn’t holding us up in the market like that when they have spent £87m and brought in £38m on hojlund, £10.5m on Greenwood’s sell on, various loan fees, £7m on Vitek, and a small sell on fee for Garnacho. And that’s before factoring in that rashford’s wages were largely just replacing casemiro’s wages from last season’s wage bill.
