For too long, programs such as the H-1B visa have enabled companies to hire foreign workers for roles that American graduates are fully qualified to fill. This practice undercuts wages, reduces job openings, and leaves recent graduates competing against a system structured to favor lower-cost imported labor over domestic talent.

Ending these displacement mechanisms will produce clear benefits for college graduates:

- Greater access to entry-level and mid-level positions in technology, engineering, healthcare, and other professional fields.
- Stronger wage growth as employers compete for American workers rather than relying on visa-dependent staffing.
- Renewed incentive for universities and employers to invest in training and retaining U.S. talent instead of outsourcing opportunity.

American students invest years and significant resources in their education. They deserve a labor market that prioritizes them. I am the only candidate pressing for decisive action to close these loopholes and put Americans first.
