I’ve seen a lot of people blaming me as to why Treyarch got rid of BO6 comms and that I asked for it by starting Rights to Unmute.
No, you’re all so wrong. I started the non profit to give others the confidence to speak up, to stand up for themselves, and to dish it back. When I say stand up for yourself, you can be toxic and not cross a line. Here’s a game where I get very toxic back but I’m still having fun with it. I built off the vibes and energy of the enemy team and joined them. Obviously some things from their end was too much, and I don’t agree with at all.
But, if you tune into my streams, I’ve never ever tried to cancel or stop toxicity altogether. I just believe in a space where the line between competitive banter and hateful speech is clear and respected.
*TW* - Went against a guy playing solo in SND, and he somehow got his teammates to back out not once, but twice, before finishing the game with a group of randoms.
His RANDOM teammates then for some reason jumped on the bandwagon to boost this guy and even join in on saying they wanted to gang r*pe me.
Yes, I understand this is "Call of Duty," but this goes beyond trash talk. This kind of behavior deserves jail time or real-life consequences because there's no way you're not imagining or thinking about these things outside of the game or on a regular basis.
Thankfully we absolutely slammed these guys, but god damn some of these players shouldn’t be touching video games or be able to talk behind a gamer tag💀
We've seen a lot of comments from people responding to our content saying things along the lines of, "that's just the game", "that's just 'toxicity'", "get over it it's part of the game". 🧵
you wonder why no one fucks with you or wants to play with you @kranny24...keep my name out ya mouth 😂
imagine FULLY crashing out on stream..spouting homophobic slurs (and doubling down).. telling someone to KILL THEMSELVES over a free to play video game.
jealousy isn’t a good look big guy. some self reflection needs to be on your schedule lmfao have the day you deserve ✌️
Hiii, we see some new followers here👀
We’re Rights to Unmute, a nonprofit aiming to create a space where the line between competitive banter and hateful speech is clear and respected.
Our main goal is for you to unmute your mic and speak up against harassment, and be able to enjoy video games without staying silent.

I went against this pick me Twitch streamer named SimplyShroomie who sadly streams off Xbox so we can’t hear her teammates on her live (she’s lucky for that).
But, after this game, she found out who I was, ended her live stream and had her mods beg my mods in DM’s not to report her or make a video on her. So of course, I had to make a video on her.
Also, just because you’re not the one directly being extremely homophobic, you’re still apart of the problem if you associate with people like this and instigate them.
I want to say something that I feel most would agree with. Trash talk is whatever but racism, slurs or talking about people’s weight is NEVER okay. I can tell you right now, if any of the staff or OpTic members heard that in the crowd, it would’ve been shut down immediately. Some of the shit I’ve heard in videos just makes me fuckin sick. Do better.
When @ChrisHawkner cannot believe the misogyny coming from @ClocKWerKFPS in this tournament.
Guess someone didn't check all the streams he would be in.
Does anyone still enjoy guest blogging? Would love to learn about writers who enjoy giving their opinions on matters going in gaming as it relates to women & marginalized groups in the space.
Additionally.. If you're a writer looking for a space, send us a DM!
533 blocked comments since the last time I went through them two months ago. I can’t help but feel a lot of them are rooted in sexism and misogyny with the language that’s used. So if you don’t think this is still a very big issue in the gaming space, think again @RightsToUnmute
