@AlphaNews Cool so now they are going to lower their standards to fill the quota and unleash a bunch of armed douchebags on power trips into the mix. Cool.
@DHGRVA Did that, and the real bank has no record of the card number. The thing that gets me is they were entirely unconcerned by the situation and said to destroy the card. Okay fine but what I don’t understand is: what kind of scam is being pulled here??
Scam Question: I received what appears to be a legitimate major debit/credit card to activate (logo/name redacted but we all know).
The problem is that we do not have a biz account with this bank, the name on the card is an unknown person, but the business name on the card is ours… and it came to our address. We also received two phone calls yesterday from “the bank” asking us if we received the card and activated it. Of course we did not answer any questions.
I’ve called both the biz checking and credit departments of the bank, they do not have record of our company or this card number on file. They also seem unconcerned that a legit looking card was delivered…
My question is: What the heck? Is this some kind of new scam?
