@OversightDems@ReproRights@RepMaloney Never been prouder to claim Carolyn Maloney as my representative.
Passing the Women's Health Protection Act could be your key to beating back your progressive challenger. Let’s see.

Since the Court won’t act to uphold basic, long-held constitutional rights—it’s up to Congress to protect the bodily autonomy & freedom of pregnant people, including by passing @RepJudyChu’s Women’s Health Protection Act.
We will do just that.
Texas is now the 1st state to ever allow a ban on abortion to go into effect since Roe v. Wade was handed down in 1972.
As @OversightDems Chair, @RepMaloney is fighting every day to ensure that no one is denied access to abortion care because of extremist anti-choice ideology.
NEW: Chair @RepMaloney issued the following statement regarding the Supreme Court’s failure to enjoin Texas’ draconian six-week abortion ban (S.B. 8), allowing the law to take effect today: https://t.co/LIC3ut7nRu
A new Texas law banning abortions after six weeks has gone into effect today, after the Supreme Court failed to intervene. “85% of people seeking abortions in Texas do so after six weeks,” says @ReproRights’s Nancy Northup. “This is the most extreme law to go into effect.”
“Our client Whole Women’s Health was open until 11:59 pm last night seeing patients because people wanted to get in and exercise their right and make the decisions for their life, health and future right up to the midnight hour.” —Nancy Northup, Center president and CEO
Texas’s anti-abortion law will put the health of millions in jeopardy –– especially for low-income people and people of color.
We will fight this in Congress with every tool available, including passing the Women's Health Protection Act.
SCOTUS failed to protect women by allowing Texas’ draconian abortion ban at six weeks – before most women even know they’re pregnant – to take effect.
Access to safe abortion is a 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 and we will fight to defend it.

1 in 4 women have had an abortion. As one of them, I know that this attack is cruel, dangerous, and unjust.
We must respond by urgently passing the Women’s Health Protection Act — removing barriers to care and defending the right to choose.
Reproductive rights are human rights.
Congress must act to protect #RoevWade.
Abortion bans are attacks on our communities, our bodies, and our rights to self-determination. That’s why I was proud to help repeal an abortion ban in the #NMleg and to sign on to the #WomensHealthProtectionAct in Congress.
This abortion ban will ruin lives.
It punishes women - specifically, women who look like me.
Congress must act NOW to protect the reproductive rights of people in EVERY ZIP code by passing the Women's Health Protection Act. https://t.co/yVKxoHNfHm
“...Patients are panicking, with no idea how they will get the abortion they need. This case is not over, and we will be continuing to fight in court until this law is struck down.” —Nancy Northup, Center president and CEO
“Right now, Roe v. Wade is effectively a dead letter in Texas. We are deeply concerned that the Supreme Court has yet to take action on our urgent request to enjoin Texas’ near-total ban on abortions...” —Nancy Northup, Center president and CEO
#USA: Texas law (SB8) endangers women with unprecedented obstacles to safe abortion in nearly all cases. New forms of pressuring those who uphold sexual and reproductive health & rights, including service providers, are a serious concern.
It’s pretty simple: We should all be able to make our own decisions about our health and future. But between TX's extreme abortion ban and states passing a record number of abortion restrictions this year, we have to fight for everyone’s reproductive freedom. #BansOffOurBodies
