For decades, WWE has been the standard that many fans grew up with. Because of that, anything outside that formula is often judged before it's even given a fair chance.
AEW was never meant to be WWE 2.0. The entire point was to offer a different vision of professional wrestling.

The date the venue was booked and the date that the event was announced are 2 completely different things. For all we know, WWE booked their venue first and AEW could have just happened to announce their show first. Announcing the show first gives a false perception that the date was booked first.
