Reading the new interview from #JacquesAudiard trying to save #EmiliaPerez and burn #KarlaSofiaGasgón alone (him, out of all people…) just reforged him as the most greedy, despicable human being, capable of ANYTHING to stay in an awards race.

To think that the industry picked this guy over #DenisVilleneuve to celebrate as a Best Director Nominee just makes me feel that the #Oscars are getting the mess they deserve.

And to think that all this drama could have been avoided if mr. Audiard wasn’t that type of person that would rather cast an European and 2 Americans to play Mexicans before even giving a chance to Latin American talent to be leads in his film - because they would very likely call out the problematic views embedded in his screenplay that his European and American cast just said Amem to, and are still out there trying to be rewarded for…

This movie and everyone involved with it should be ashamed, they should issue an apology and quit the awards race, if there was minimum decency left in these people…

I’m shocked and I thought this EP drama couldn’t shock me anymore.
