Building a stock trading app from scratch. No shortcuts.

Mapped the full system — 13 auth endpoints, 2FA, and dual token types: one for the app, one for WebSocket buy/sell activity.

Rather overplan auth than rewrite it at 2am. #buildinpublic

Day 1 backend progress:

Set up the server, created the user schema, and built an OTP mail service — nodemailer + HTML templates with inline CSS so emails don't break across clients.

Small piece but it's the first real thing running. Auth goes next.

Spent a month at Chungnam National University in South Korea 🇰🇷

Walked in curious. Left with a completely different sense of what "world-class" actually means — in education, culture, and people.

Did a traditional Korean seal engraving workshop. Got a handwritten calligraphy gift from a CNU faculty member. Spent evenings talking to locals who'd never met someone from India.

The classroom was 10% of it. The rest was just being there.
