As Premier, I will implement a full review of government spending and introduce the Waste Task Force to hunt down the waste, expose the grifts, cancel the NDP pet projects, and bring fiscal discipline back to government.
Ravi Kahlon has his leadership team ready to go, but they'll be holding off until after session.
The knives are out, but they want to use this time to organize before the other candidates wake up

HAPPENING NOW: A lot more chirping than usual in the house today. Someone tells Milobar, "you're going to be in your own leadership race soon, so I wouldn't worry about it" while Milobar questions Premier Eby's skills as a lawyer and a witness.
It wasn’t long ago I wasn’t allowed past this gate.
I was on the outside. Not even in the building.
I was back working in trucking and road-building, putting in long hours like so many British Columbians do. And I used to look at this place and wonder what was going on inside these walls that affected my life so deeply.
Inflation.
Crime.
Housing.
What’s being taught to our kids in schools.
Decisions made in here were shaping everything out there.
And I made a decision.
I wasn’t going to just complain about it. I was going to step up and do something about it.
Now, in a few hours, I’ll be walking in for my second Budget Speech as your MLA for Langley-Abbotsford.
That’s not something I take lightly.
I’m here to bring transparency.
To bring accountability.
To make sure the people who aren’t in this building still know what’s happening inside it.
Because most British Columbians don’t hear every bill.
They don’t see every amendment.
They don’t sit through every debate.
But they live with the consequences.
I carry a real sense of responsibility for that.
I didn’t get into politics for a title.
I got into politics to represent the people who were standing outside that gate, just like I once was.
And I will never forget where I came from.
The road that got me here.
Or who I work for.
I was asked recently whether I’d be going back to the @BCConservCaucus.
The part to emphasize here is “I wouldn’t count anything out”
BC deserves a leader with integrity. Backbone. Morals. The moral fortitude to do what’s right even when it’s hard. To honour their obligations in all facets of their lives. And to have the leadership skills to bring that to the caucus.
Today, I’m launching my campaign to lead the Conservative Party of BC.
I’m running to keep this party Conservative - and defeat the NDP.
The NDP raised taxes and let crime and chaos spread. They pushed radical ideology in our schools, and took away your freedoms, and now maybe even your home. The BC Liberals are no different.
I am a reliable conservative. As Premier and Leader of the Conservative Party of BC, I will put freedom first, cut taxes, lock up criminals, stop the extortion, defend property rights, and get woke ideology out of our schools.
I will bring down prices and get pay-checks up.
I will open the mines, save the saw mills, and build Canadian pipelines.
I will protect our children, keep men out of girls' locker rooms, and put parents back in charge.
This race is a simple choice: A reliable Conservative, or a Liberal takeover.

Every year, thousands of people pack up and leave our province.
The NDP’s radical policies have eroded property rights, public safety, and hope for the future.
British Columbians deserve real leadership and a strong Conservative Party to defeat David Eby.
Stay tuned, #BCpoli.
As the @Conservative_BC leadership race gets set to begin, a few folks have reached out to encourage me to put my name forward. I’d probably be a long shot for the job at this point in my career, but I’m genuinely grateful for the support, especially from friends and neighbours here at home in Prince George.
After some thought, and a few honest conversations, I’ve decided that I won’t be running. My kids are still very young, and right now they need their Dad more than anything. Public service matters deeply to me, but family always comes first. I also want to stay focused on the issues that matter most to the people of Prince George–Mackenzie.
I’m encouraged by the people who are stepping up and showing interest in leading our party. A leadership race is a healthy thing, and I hope it brings a thoughtful, respectful, and meaningful conversation about the future of the Conservative Party and the future of our province.
When I think about what I want to see in the next leader of our party, and the next Premier of BC, I believe it has to be more than social media skills or attacking the NDP. Those things matter, especially in Opposition, but they aren’t enough to win. British Columbians are looking for leadership with a solid grasp of public policy, good judgment, and the courage to do the right thing to get BC back on track.
I also want to see a leader who truly understands that Northern BC matters — that the wealth generated in our region is critical to the economic future of the entire province, and that people in Northern communities deserve far better public services than we’re getting under the NDP.
We need a leader with the intelligence and strength of character to bring our caucus, our membership, and British Columbians together, and who is fully committed to the task of forming the next Government of British Columbia.
For my part, my number one focus remains working hard to serve the people of Prince George–Mackenzie and fighting for a better future for families across this province. I look forward to the conversations ahead.
Family first. Always.
Word on the street is that Iain Black, former Gordon Campbell Minister and federal Conservative Candidate could be gearing up to put his name forward for the BC Conservative leadership race 👀
