@ANI I’m unsure how can things be so comical. Section 13-15 of POCSO Act, are related to child pornography and Section 153 is related to waging a war.
Couldn’t find better sections at least ?
@anishgawande I think, everyone can benefit from a bit of empathy. Violence is unacceptable, but it is also difficult to shake hands who demonise your existence, anger is real and justified. We owe respect to those who show the truth, not lies.
Protesting is a privilege, that many don’t have.
@mssakshinarula Parliamentary Standing Committees are independent institutions- especially when an Oppn. MP is Chair. Government cannot exercise any meaningful control- Edu Min itself has confessed this previously.
@akshitaa98 While Arvind Kejriwal did win Ramon Magsaysay award for it. The actual idea was formulated, and brought in place by MKSS in Rajasthan- hence playing the foundational role. “The RTI Story” is a great read on the topic.
@sanjayuvacha Four things
1 Strong political stance on several issues - most prominently on secularism
2 In-depth analysis of analysis socio-economic issues and presenting a political alternative.
3 Social engineering rooted in Kerala’s realities.
4 Presenting Congress as the real left
@AshwiniUpadhyay@ShashiTharoor In the interest of secularism would like to inform at least 3 instances exist, KM Abhijith from Nadapuram, AP Anilkumar from Wandoor and Sandeep Warrier(former BJP leader who denounced Hindutva last year)from Trikaripur, all muslim majority constituencies with MLAs who are Hindu.
@srinualavilli I think undeniable that the price of the ticket impacts a lot of people. It is a more expensive alternative than car pooling/ when travelling in a group of 3. In Delhi, the metro ticket is at 10-20% of what a cab would cost. Making it a no-brainer for anyone to travel.
@TyrantOppressor While it is extremely frustrating that OBCs practice Sanskritisation and appeasement to UCs. The idea of Bahujan, who lived under oppressive brahmanism - should unite for justice should remain. Even today, UC minority hold power and influence everywhere, Bahujans are denied- n
@TyrantOppressor Categorising acts of some OBCs as representation of OBC community (52% popl)as a whole is unfair. OBC reservation was basis -clear criteria of backwardness by Mandal. Its true that dominant OBCs oppress, and should strictly be punished. But some Dalits oppress other Dalits too-1
@advsanjoy It would be interesting to study the kind of parliamentary actions Raghav Chadha brings - Blasphemy law, zero hour on making GenAI tools free, and also flirted with an idea on Central Govt Regulation of OTT. The lack of political understanding on these issues is striking!
@mishraverse India currently does not have any implementable legislation on privacy(DPDP Rules unenforced) and personality rights is not a legislative right or a right recognised by most HCs and the Hon’ble SC. And none of this is basic, nor is solid. May succeed in court but not black &white
@SaketGokhale@anishgawande It does not end there. If the degree is not valid, then the documents displayed by Amit Shah and BJP in 2016, is a case of forgery - a criminal offence.
@ashish_nujs And here, the Hon’ble Justices of Supreme Court do not want show and tell “they do not know the jurisdiction which this court enjoys”. The flexing of jurisdiction is reserved for citizens alone.
@icssr This is a classic way to mis-interpret the meaning of a constitution. Constitution is meant to act against/hold accountable a constitutional body. High regard for the constitution would be to hold institution accountable always, not to have high regard for the institution.
@karunanundy I wonder why and how the IT Rules takedown regime is not held unconstitutional or even challenged. Shouldn’t Article 19(2) restrictions be based on law, rather than delegated legislation?
रणवीर तो बस बहाना है,
YouTube को बंद करवाना है.
This is what governments do when they realise that the people of India have the ability to speak truth to power. The Supreme Court must not be complicit in any draconian restrictions on freedom of speech.
