Marizanne Kapp let out a roar in Dubai on 20th October 2024. She had walked out to chase 159 against New Zealand in 2024 T20 World Cup final. She made 8 runs. Then she walked back & she roared.
Not at the bowler. Not at umpire. At everything. At the years of carrying this South Africa team through tournaments they were not supposed to win. At the final hurdle that kept showing up & tripping them. At herself probably. At the whole damn thing.

Today she walked out again. Same target: 159. And this time situation was worse.

Laura Wolvaardt gone, the one player South Africa builds everything around & just 25 for 2 after the powerplay. kind of start that tells you semifinal spot is slipping away.

Kapp does not look away. that is not what she does. she did not roar in anger this time. She roared with her bat. She roared with every boundary she found & every ball she refused to miss. She carried them...Again.

@CricCrazyNIKS The truth is not spoken enough. The truth is rest of the teams were often stupid in auctions to allow CSK and especially MI to get away with teams they had. In 2022, other teams became smarter and CSK & MI had average to poor auctions. CSK's 2023 title run had loads of luck.
