@UrbanMovingInc@killerguerilla Also in this context, it doesn't matter what the manifesto said. It was an early pamphlet aimed to make the people of europe revolt. Marx for his lifetime was concerned with analysing capitalism, he never claimed to have a plan for communism or a better society
@UrbanMovingInc@killerguerilla This is so ridiculous. Can you show me the paragraphs in the manifesto that confirm these theses? No it's not. Marx and Engels explicitly said that the government is a tool, not a self purpose and as an instrument of capitalism has to be abolished.
@Liamprobably ... they were not a victim to colonialism, since they all fought each other in several alliances together with either the French or British?
@Liamprobably the government army at culloden was also double times as big, so of what info is this? Loyalist Scots were a thing + soldiers were paid far better than in the jacobite army. It's like saying a substantial part of the english Army in the 7 years war was native American, therefore
@NEPenjoyer Glad that his age of extremes were part of the compulsory readings for my history module so far... pays off to be studying at the university he was president of
@sprucebarks @AJamesHidell@Oshawhat3@ChaosIsMel They're not ruling parties though. And the GDR had multiple parties too, it was for facade and they had to pledge allegiance to the socialist cause of the country. Obv. parties with actual independent viewpoints aren't allowed.
