@bwfast My doubts stem from facility size. If the USL’s top two teams from last season were promoted to MLS, the top tier of U.S. soccer would play games in stadiums of 5,000 and roughly 8,700. Is the top tier playing in very small stadiums good for US soccer? Just asking.

@hunterparker99 I saw these same 2 teams play 5 weeks later in front of almost 37,000 fans at old Tampa Stadium in an NASL playoff game. TB won 3-1, Pele scored NY’s goal. Still have the game program and t-shirt.

Matan, 26, won MLS Cup with the Columbus Crew in 2023. Current STL head coach Yoann Damet was an assistant on that Crew team.

Matan had 6g/3a last season for Panetolikos.

@frenchjraff @AUHansel The one issue I never see discussed with this issue is USL stadium sizes. If their top two teams were promoted after last season, you’d have teams joining MLS with capacities of 5000 and 8700. To me, that’s a problem. I’d like your opinion on this.
