@TheFilmVault I saw Eddington. Lots to discuss, but here was my key takeaway: is anyone better at playing straight up unlikable loser characters than Joaquin Phoenix? I mean it as a compliment. It’s one thing to be a cool antihero or a creep. But he’s so good at just being uncomfortable!
@TheFilmVault@BaldBryan I’d been avoiding Little Big Man because I thought it was just going to be two hours of Dustin Hoffman dressed as a Native American. But, it turned out to be a lot more than that! Lots of fun Western misadventures and an unforgettable performance from Richard Mulligan as Custer!
@LindsayWashburn I see this and I raise you Catherine Deneuve and David Bowie at the beginning of “The Hunger.” (video evidence hard to find during the Super Bowl.)
@TheFilmVault After last week’s Ep, I finally decided to check out “Wild Tales.” Amazing. Every vignette has an upsetting premise, but they’re still incredibly watchable. One of those movies I’ll probably think about at least weekly for the rest of my life.
55 years ago tomorrow, @JimiHendrix released the greatest cover version of all time -- his brilliant reinvention of @bobdylan's "All Along the Watchtower."
Disagree? Name a better cover.

@davidlsims My top five edges in no particular order: Edge of Tomorrow, Little Caesar’s Edge Pizza, famed U2 guitarist The Edge, the Edge of 17, and…I don’t know, can I count Heath Ledger?
COCAINE BEAR reminds me of something I have been talking about in my classes on how screenwriters who write original movies can work around Hollywood’s obsession with pre-existing I.P. #screenwriting 🧵
