It has saved countless lives every year. If even just the security gaurd at the hotel was armed it may have made the difference for many at the concert.

This by all accounts looks like an attempted coup by DOJ officials in concert with Clinton campaign and foreign agents working with Ukrainian operatives to remove a duly elected president.

All offices and departments of the DOJ are under the delegated authority of the executive branch and the executive has plenary powers over all conduct and personnel associated with the DOJ. He could literally close down every DOJ office.
