Warren this question looks like a moral dilema but it isn't. Both options offer the possibility for everyone to live. Your choice is whether you pick the certainty of living or put your fate in the hands of strangers. @EricRStPierre Canadian here. I like the US and it has great opportunities, but not interested in the citizenship. Canada consistently ranks higher in freedom, prosperity, security, health, lifespan, education, etc. I also don't want to be taxed on my worldwide income.

Just finding out about this proposed bill and have yet to take a position. But what's clear is that the name is horrible. Hate, however distasteful, is an emotion. People have a right to their emotions. But when paraphrased, this bill is called The Combatting [Emotions] Act, and should be a non-starter.
