@RkRibbon@TheRegister IoT devices can be constructed from 100% libre software running on inexpensive SBCs such as the Beaglebone Black. No need to buy a commercial device that wants to phone home, make your own that reports only to you. Bonus points for releasing your software under a libre license!

@stewartsmith @Quantum_X4 @henriok2@foxbat And it's still a fused-off chip; those nimbus #POWER9 chips are manufactured as 24-core, so even the top of the line 22-core is still a trimmed down version.
@adi_gangidi With Linux kernel 4.16 we have standard 3D GPU support through Vega. OpenCL is lagging somewhat due to still being merged upstream in pieces by AMD -- we hope that more of the required parts will land in kernel 4.17. Note that for 3D support the latest version of MESA is needed.
