@VoteRunLead@WinnieBrinks The legendary @WinnieBrinks is leader in a different Midwest “M” state - Michigan! Thank you for uplifting this moment in our history 💪🏼
It was a pleasure sitting down with @GanderNewsroom to discuss my path towards leading the Michigan Senate and our groundbreaking #MajorityForThePeople. I can’t wait for you to see the full interview — stay tuned!
Moss: "Now we're in the majority, transphobia is never going to be packed into a bill with final passage before this chamber. And as long as I preside over this chamber, transphobia is always going to be ruled out of order. And guess what? You're going to have to cope with that."
Michiganders voted for leaders who would get things done. We've accomplished a lot in our first 100 days, and we look forward to continuing the momentum in the next 100 and beyond. #MajorityForThePeople

I truly believe there is room for all people and all political persuasions to come to the table and work together to solve the problem of gun violence. Background checks are widely supported measures across party lines. They save lives, they keep guns out of the hands of those who should not have them, and they are good public health and safety measures. I am grateful they are now one step closer to becoming law.
We did it!!
Thank you to every gun violence survivor, parent, physician, law enforcement leader, and faith leader whose fierce advocacy led to this day! And much gratitude to GVP caucus chair past and present, @VoteWittenberg & @rosemarybayer ❤
As we have heard in five and a half hours of powerful committee testimony over the past two weeks, gun violence has taken far too many lives, shattered families and scarred communities.
Today, we voted out three major gun violence prevention bill packages to the senate floor!
Reproductive freedom affects the whole person: physical + mental health, $ stability, capacity to care for others, & ability to create a family later…Today, we are telling women - and their nurses and doctors - that we trust them to make these deeply personal decisions.
Just going to leave this here….
Michiganders support gun violence prevention policies:
✅88% support background checks
✅80% support safe storage from minors
✅75% support extreme risk protection orders

I’ve had a front row seat as the GOP denied this person civil rights protections year after year, term after term. Watching @JeremyAllenMoss preside over the passage of his bill to protect LGBTQ+ rights was an unforgettable, full-body-goosebumps, ugly-happy-cry moment.
For far too long, #LGBTQ Michiganders could not seek justice after enduring discrimination because we were excluded from our state’s civil rights act.
In a historic vote today, the Michigan Senate passed my bill to expand the act and liberate our community. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
So proud to be on the floor of the Michigan Senate as Elliott Larsen Civil rights expansion passes. So many people's blood, sweat and tears were poured into this moment. This has been a fight 40 years in the making. Thank you @MISenDems@JeremyAllenMoss
It is LONG overdue that the civil rights of members of the LGBTQ+ community are acknowledged and protected. Today, I was proud to cast a “yes” vote for Senate Bill 4 #HateWontWin
So proud to lead Michigan Senate Democrats as we pass Senator @JeremyAllenMoss’s SB 4, the bill to extend the protections of the Elliott Larsen Civil Rights Act to #LGBTQ people! @MISenDems
