WOOD CHIP CHALLENGE. Today I was assisted by Shane who took a piece of wood shaving, wrote his name on it and hid it amongst the millions of wood shavings on the horse walking area. I wasn’t allowed to watch & then brought Ella up to search for it. Special girl.

Today our thoughts are with the family and friends of Mike Newton as his funeral is held in Torquay. The police radio supervisor often joined the OPCC’s engagement team at events promoting call handling as a career. He was a real friend of the office and we will miss him greatly.

Fail to Stop :Torrington. A car I was looking for was hidden behind the delivery van. The driver made a bad choice and decided not to stop. I will not put members of the public at risk. I have the registration and had a great view of the driver! Catch up soon!

A selection of vehicles seized in #torbay by the team today. Nissan - no insurance, no MOT, bald tyre. Scirocco - no insurance. Toyota - no insurance and provisional licence. Working with @DriveInsured to remove uninsured drivers from our roads

@pauldishman @DriveInsured We can enter “any garage or other structure occupied with the dwelling house, or any land appurtenant to the dwelling house” in order to exercise the power under 165A RTA. Having said that, this car was reinsured and not seized so my initial tweet was incorrect anyway
