I’m no pension expert but reading the CARE regs (and I need someone with better math than me) TP brought Final salary and weighted accrual and if removed the value of al 87 benefits fall

I can’t see this being the most cost effective option

I’m just very weary of a govt that will look to limit it loses and we all lose out. Hence my request for some clarity when the dust settles from the federation

@CopsAgainst @gelders007 @baldero_tiny @PFEW_HQ 1/2. When fed neg TP they inc ffinal salary & weighted accrual on CARE. If govt withdraw TP, I suspect these go to. Therefore considering future pay rise/promotion/age to 60 your 96 benefits will be calculated on ur salary as of 2015 not ff salary and in 60th.

@gelders007 @baldero_tiny @PFEW_HQ @CopsAgainst Wrong. I’m asking for clarity re the police The pol challenge was aimed at the discrimination of TP not the govt right to put us into CARE that’s law. So if govt remove TP there are clauses in there that enhance CARE pensions, it will effect the value of our 96 locked pensions!!

@CopsAgainst Just a question why don’t the govt. just throw in the towel and say they will scrap all TP?. That way those protected and tapered lose protections and all inc CARE lose weighted accrual and ‘final final’ salary. Which were all agreed under TP provisions. Only Govt & lawyers win?
