Canary Mission surfaced footage of a Democratic Socialists of America member describing, in plain language, a strategy to dismantle the United States from inside its own borders.

“𝘞𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘲𝘶𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘤𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘦, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘥𝘰 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯.” the DSA member said.

The rhetoric escalates from there, framing the goal as nothing short of national collapse: “𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘳𝘰𝘭𝘦 𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘦'𝘴 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘶𝘳𝘦, 𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘸 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘦. The closing line leaves no ambiguity about the intended method: “𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘬∗𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩 𝘰𝘯 𝘈𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘮, 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘦.”

This isn't a fringe internet troll — it's a member of an organization with 𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 among its ranks and chapters on college campuses nationwide, saying out loud what critics have long argued the movement actually believes.
