If you plan business operations over a weekend then you need customer support over a weekend.
Its frustrating as its now an extra job to chase, to complain when it should be an easy transaction
@AoCDavidH Equally though this must reflect impact of significant cohort change due to higher GCSE grades in 19/20?
None of cohort will have taken an exam before when compared with a cohort last year
As ever the picture is complex and I would suggest reflects GFEs providing safety net
@Samfr@bbqbobs Well and the maths and English condition of funding skews surely?
Significantly more grade 3s came to us from schools who would have previously been 1/2 so much larger GCSE cohort. Colleagues in other GFEs they have seen the same.
@Samfr Look how well that's gone for condition of funding for grade 3 GCSE...if its going to work needs to be meaningful, developmental and well funded. Then yes - teachers

Fantastic to have @jonnykayteacher with us @CoBCollege today for a morning of professional development with our English and maths lecturers and coaches. Really thought provoking and practical sessions. Lots to take away and ponder over!
@AndyFor22064103 Ideas or investment? Increases in funding for POS & other initiatives are welcome they are being outstripped by cost of living and increasing operating costs. Combined with a heavy shift to T level requiring both capital spend and often significantly different staffing profile.
Provider bodies and awarding organisations have slammed the government's plan to cut and reorganise qualifications at level 2 and below.
Here's what the sector had to say.

@suffolkmaths @mathsjem Would note that a student with a grade 4 would still have to study GCSE to meet the condition of funding. Anything below obviously more options open but worth noting L2 maths 16-18 pass rates have been reported to be as low as 20% in 20-21 - though that is not full national data
@callumrowlinson I'm sure Mo was appropriately remunerated. Again not to belittle any performance but if by poor organisation or design the story is compelling to most readers.
Speaks to what is wrong at the top end of our sport in terms of investment.
