This afternoon I was honoured to represent the @AusAirForce at a service at the Shrine of Remembrance remembering Prisoners of War. The service had special meaning for me, as I was able to read the names of my maternal Grandparents: (1/3)
Joseph Channing (Hong Kong Police Force) and Muriel McCaw (Nursing Section, Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps), who met while interned as Prisoners of War in Stanley Camp on Hong Kong Island. (2/3)
Yesterday was a great opportunity to support the Victorian Community. I was joined by 14 volunteers from 21 Squadron @AusAirForce to pack food (the equivalent of 28,598 meals) for @FoodbankVic. Foodbank does an amazing job providing food relief for those in need.

A short article covering our unit visit to the local B-24 Liberator restoration on the 87th anniversary of the formation of No. 21 (City of Melbourne) Squadron @AusAirForce. A great opportunity for our Aviators to see an important part of our history.
