@WUTangKids Because grocery stores that cater to lower and middle class people will close since that can't compete with one that doesn't need to make profit (just needs more tax money) and the your options will be high end or government (most likely very low end)

@cecegkh It's an illegal move in that rule set, one I believe is a bad rule set because if you pull guard and the other person can lift you off the ground you should have to release your guard (because the alternative was you could have been slammed)

@bri_guy_ny Outside of the post office none of those other things have private sector competition that won't be able to compete since they actually need to make profit since they can't use taxpayer money to shore the business up.

@antonliubich Sure, people get that argument but when multiple studies show that productivity has outpaced wage growth for a couple decades now what then? At some point you gotta says these businesses are doing it to themselves. We are getting to a breaking point and they aren't looking good.

@WallStreetApes No the problem is they are both wrong, inflation and corporate greed has surpresed wages and caused bubbles and inflated cost of living, but government run socialism isn't going to fix the problem it's just going bring everyone down.

@ISAACforEnergy Yeah maybe if they were being built inside empty warehouse or in existing industrial parks, weren't getting special water and energy rates and had to pay for any infrastructure improvements needed to sustain them people would have less of a problem. Just sayin.

@ellonico To remove people from polite society that have proven they can not function with in the rules of said society. If they are either punished, rehabilitated or somehow changed enough to now live by the rules that's a bonus.

@esjesjesj Yeah we know, freeze rent then when inflation, increased taxes, etc, etc eat any profit you were making since your income ceiling is now fixed you will start losing money keeping up with repairs, till you can't then the city takes your property. That's the plan after all.

@HistoryBoomer Isn't the point to make it that landlords can't profit or maintain the property anymore so the government can seize it? That's what it looks like to me.
