Why yall take this clip out of context is insane. He was saying you have to watch the WRs because there is literally nothing you can do to stop Joe Burrow. You watch those other QBs tapes because you can figure out strategies to beat them, with Joe you can’t. He was talking with humility saying that people can do stuff to stop himself & Tee.
The 2025 Bengals OL ranked
16th in Pass Block Efficiency (PFF)
And if you use the final 11 weeks, they were 4th best in PBE.
They were 27th in weeks 1-7 with a new OL coach and two rookies playing.
They were charged with 7 sacks in those final 11 weeks. That was 4th best.
That's for the PASS HEAVIEST team in the LEAGUE.
They were 25th in Rushing Success Rate in those first 7 weeks also.
They were 3rd in Rushing Success Rate in the final 11 weeks.
Looks at the splits in PFF grades!
But sure, use 2025 data without using your eyes and seeing the improvements on tape.
They WILLINGLY brought back all 5 starters for a reason.
Sam Monson makes the case for Ja’Marr Chase as the NFL’s best wide receiver 🏆
“He’s just the best composite. He’s the classic No. 1 wide receiver who can win at all levels in all ways and terrifies defenses just by stepping onto the field. I don’t think there’s anyone else in the NFL who is quite the same in that regard.”
"The Bengals can't run the ball"
Ummm, they were number 1 in EPA per rush in 2025.
They were 3rd in rush Success Rate behind Rams and Bears.
And they're bringing back all 5 OL starters, get Erick All back in the TE room and Chase Brown is in a contract year.
If you're still looking at total yards in 2026, you're a bum. Get a job and get the Internet.
Chase Brown averaged 4.9 yards per carry on his 96 runs from Under Center. He had 15 runs that went 10+ yards. That's a 15.6% clip.
That's a better explosive rate than Derrick Henry, James Cook, Jahmyr Gibbs, Christian McCaffrey, Kenneth Walker, Kyren Williams, Jonathan Taylor.
It's actually the most explosive rate in the league for a starting RB. Defenses still didn't care last season.
This is exactly one of the big issues I saw on tape and started to notice that other QBs were getting more open areas to exploit the blitz via play-action.
The Bengals and Burrow simply don't get the same advantages/opportunities.
