@Isacmpanga I like how Ugandans, including the least expected, shift blame from the real perpetrators of crime to individuals and / or organizations that are actually fighting the injustice. Isn't this the so-called kiiso ky'embuzi!?🐐
CENTCOM Forces Destroy Imminent Threats to U.S. and Coalition Forces Near Military Support Site Euphrates
This morning, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces successfully destroyed several weapon systems in the vicinity of Military Support Site Euphrates that included three truck mounted Multiple Rocket Launchers, a T-64 tank, an armored personnel carrier, and mortars that presented a clear and imminent threat to U.S. and Coalition forces. The self-defense strike occurred after the truck mounted Multiple Rocket Launcher, armored personnel carrier, and mortars were fired toward U.S. forces.
The U.S. mission in Syria remains unchanged as U.S. and Coalition forces continue to focus on the enduring defeat of ISIS. The ongoing support of regional partners and operations in Syria are unrelated to recent events in northwest Syria. CENTCOM forces continue to monitor the situation and remain in constant communication with our other forces in the region as the situation develops.
The Kingdom of Buganda has severally advised against scrapping UCDA since it suprintends coffee production, upon which nearly 2 million Ugandan households depend.
Apparently, scrapping UCDA is a punishment against Baganda, who contribute nearly 50% of coffee exports, since Speaker Anita Among (and those who support scrapping UCDA) see the Amendment Bill as a victory against Baganda!
Emmwanyi Terimba Initiative will go on unabated...I urge Baganda (and other Ugandans) to continue growing coffee: your livelihood is more important than the motives of present day politicians. CPM

the debate on the 'intellectual gifts' of Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba is not necessarily about the man himself, but the titles & positions: Gen of the UPDF; CDF of the UPDF, etc. Thus, in seeming to debate the man, folks are debating the positions & titles, which have specific expectations – & a peculiar seriousness.
Thus, MK is certainly brilliant – absolutely undeniable – but perhaps not enough for those offices & titles. Maybe enough for another office or other trade entirely.
I clarified.
The Leader of Opposition in Uganda is @HEBobiwine. In the event that he can’t be LOP, he reserves the right to delegate his position through appointment. The proposed amendment to take away this power is a lie and it won’t work @AnitahAmong #NextBigTalk
“When the madness of an entire nation disturbs a solitary mind, it is not enough to say that the man is mad.” - Francis Imbuga (Betrayal in the City).
What does the above quote mean in the present circumstances? Kindly feel free to simplify this quote for those at the back to understand. I will be following your feedback. Thank you.
.@KamalaHarris and @Tim_Walz believe in an America where "We the People" includes everyone. Because that's the only way this American experiment works. And despite what our politics might suggest, I think most Americans understand that.
State of garbage: Trash bomb descends upon Uganda’s cities. Unbelievable, one city is waiting for money from the European Union to deal with its garbage. This is 62 years after independence, in a country that loses Shs9.1 trillion to corruption annually

This afternoon in Kayonza, Ntungamo District, we laid to rest my grandfather-in-law Mzee Ernest Nvunganyi. Besides being my in-law, Mzee Nvunganyi has also been a dear friend. He played a key role in convincing my wife's family to accept me into their lives and let me marry their daughter. Even until his death, he has been actively involved in keeping strong the bond between our families. We shall greatly miss him.
RUBBISH IS BURYING THE COUNTRY
Kiteezi is symbolic of what is happening elsewhere in Uganda.
When we start to passionately defend thieves, that’s rubbish burying us.
When incompetent people occupy positions on account of blood and tribe, that is us going under rubbish.
When Parliament becomes an embodiment of shameless dealing, rubbish is burying us.
When those fighting corruption become the target of the state while thieves laugh, the country is being buried by garbage.
When the judiciary becomes a walking stick of the Executive and Parliament, a heap of wigs garbage is on our chest.
When national leadership becomes hereditary without regard to merit and people’s choice, we are suffocating under garbage.
When we are launching a shabby train from Kampala to Namanve in 2023, we are witnessing a mass movement of rubbish.
When leaders abandon poor local hospitals for citizens and seek treatment from “imperialists’”countries, we are under rubbish.
When leaders take their own children to study abroad in countries of the ‘foreigners’ they call enemies while abandoning their own schools, that is rubbish manifest.
When theft becomes a way of life in every sector, garbage is covering us.
When being a shrewd crook becomes the easiest route to prosperity in the country, our lungs have sucked in garbage.
When integrity becomes a risky and sure way to a difficult life, garbage is at the helm.
When anti-corruption language starts sounding foreign, rubbish has been heeped on the soul of the country.
When people get kidnapped for holding different political opinions, we can’t breathe under garbage.
When young people from an equatorial country have to move to desert countries in thousands in search for livelihood opportunities, they’re are escaping from a garbageslide.
When religious leaders become greedy accomplices in breaking the country, garbage is reigning supreme.
Garbage is burying us under our watch. Where are the excavators? The army arrived first on site, with big guns. Kiteezi is a metaphor. Kiteezi is not isolated. It is a national negligence-driven garbageslide symbolised. It will take everyone’s effort to sort this garbage. You are either a garbage spreader or a garbage manager. What are you doing about the national garbage crisis?
