Today we managed to find the XINJIANG GROUND JAY (aka Biddulph’s Ground Jay) - a fantastic bird and one of only 4 Ground Jays in the world. Great few of this cool bird and my first lifer of the trip! With @a1virginia

One of the Red Kite “kettles” from last Sunday morning at Bockhill, Kent. Although some birds appeared to circle back, it is likely that between 35 and 50 Red Kites arrived and headed NW between 10am and 1pm plus at least 3 Hobbies. With @a1virginia
An excellent day at Marquenterre, France on a Sandwich Bay members trip! Over 75 species recorded including breeding plumage Black-necked Grebes, Crested Tits, Spotted Flycatchers, plenty of White Storks, Spoonbills and Nightingales. Golden Orioles too! @Sandwichbirdobs
Last day in Croatia! I’ll miss the view from our room .. and so many great birds .. Black-headed Bunting, Eastern Olivaceous Warbler and Short-toed Eagle pictured. Fabulous scenery and hardly another soul around!! 😳
Very pleased to find ROCK PARTRIDGE today!! After eventually tracking one down at 6.50pm we then found another two! Also today 3 Rollers, 4 Red-backed Shrike, 2 Golden Oriole, 3 Quail, 7 Turtle Dove, Alpine Swift, 59 Pygmy Cormorant, 4 Purple Heron, 7 Monty’s Harrier, 2 Hoopoe 😊

Up to 4 Little Gulls were present at the Restharrow Scrape Sandwich Bay yesterday afternoon. Up to 10 Gull species present here in the last few days including several Kittiwakes, Caspian and Yellow-legged Gulls! @sandwichbirdobs
A rare out of county twitch this afternoon too Thurrock Essex to see the Ross's Gull, was very lucky as the bird flew off North East not long after arriving.
