Reflecting on my time in Nashville this week, there is an exceptional level of engagement on issues that matter most in our business today.

Agents and brokers from every brand in our family took time to be together and consider the best ways to exceed the expectations of customers marketing their homes in the area, during a time of heightened distraction.

Thank you to our leaders like Ashton Alexander, Ashley Dembowski, and Greg Sexton, and to every real estate professional who showed up to exchange ideas. Like our agents and brokers, we are out in our business every day creating the human connection that drives our business, and that no portal can replace.

What an Incredible day in Nashville!

Thank you to our local leaders, Kristy Hairston and Stephanie Clark, and to every real estate professional who showed up today in support of their clients.

Who should decide how a home is marketed…the homeowner and their trusted advisor, or a platform?

We believe homeowners deserve transparency, seller choice, and representation that puts their interests first.

Homeowners should decide when, where, and how their homes are marketed. Consumers should know who they’re communicating with. And agents should be free to recommend the strategy they believe best serves their clients.

Because no platform should have more influence over how a home is marketed than the homeowner who owns it.

We’ll keep fighting for that.

Zillow will attack any MLS, broker or agent that protects their homeseller clients data from being monetized on Zillow. Thank you Realtracs for standing up to Zillow.

Zillow is trying to replace the MLS by taking listings and data feeds outside of the MLS. When brokerages give direct data feeds to ZIllow (outside of the MLS), Zillow owns the agents’ and brokerages’ data forever and can sell their data forever. See Zillow’s Terms of Use.

Unlike Zillow, Compass International Holdings has committed to have all publicly marketed listings in the MLS for cooperation across all brokerages.

Last night was a special night! I took all of our employees in the Tri-State are who were either promoted, or got a top rated review in the last performance cycle out to dinner in New York. We shared a lot of laughs and some great food.
