@petitecyclist I'm sure cars find it very annoying but I don't tend to worry about it as long as I'm not riding like a jerk. What I'm always trying to puzzle out isn't why pedestrians are scared, but why do people still hate cyclists so much they jump at any chance to blame them for anything.

@MarozzoEspa The plain greatsword is very much like the swords used by a faction in my novels.
I imagined an elite, professional force who carry a greatsword as their standard weapon. It's been a lot of fun how to imagine that would work in different scenarios.

@MyshkinBanned Me and my mates used to do this at uni. My record was a couple of minutes but a friend used a long straw and drank a whole bottle in 7 seconds. Not sure that confirms with the 'reasonable shape' part, though.

@AleksandraLeci2 @ZsaffrynTerra With action it's always a balance between clarity and being spare with words. I'm sure you know that. I think half-sword is a perfectly legitimate term to use in a historical or fantasy book. And actually pretty easy to explain so no reason not to included, in my opinion.
