After months of investigation & negotiation (cheers Rob Kenworthy) we have secured use former Philip Howard playing fields. See website or Facebook for full post. The site is located right at the bottom of Pikes Lane.

Pitches are looking really good. Our contractors BPG have given them their first cut today. Many thanks for all the work that Bryn and his team have done over the past few weeks. Perfect weather for the pitches at the moment too. ⁦@GlossopRUFC⁩

First phase of improvement work on pitch 2 is well underway. Phase 2, and improvement work on pitch 1 to start next week. @GlossopRUFC

@GlossopRUFC There is a work party to do more backfilling drains on Saturday, meet 11am. Bring shovel and rake if poss.
Please be aware there is a charity running event at the club so look out for runners etc & only use parking spaces with orange crosses in the photo below

Sadly one of the clubs founder members and great club characters, Ken Dibble, passed away today. He will be greatly missed. Current circumstances mean we won’t be able pay our respects, but I’m sure there will be a celebration of his life at some time. Very sad day. @GlossopRUFC

Unfortunately the biblical weather had taken it’s toll again, the 2s & 3s games have both been cancelled, and the 1s game has had to be be moved to Platt Fields all weather pitch. Kick off 2pm. Please spread the word.
