Dad. Partner to boss babe. Writer. Broadcaster. Senior Sports Analyst at WTOP. Jack-of-all-trades, master of none — but oftentimes better than a master of one.
Here we go y'all: Monday I start my role at @WTOP as the Senior Sports Analyst.
I am humbled and grateful for the opportunity to help deliver something relatable and authentic to our audience on multiple platforms at this pivotal time for sports coverage in the DMV.
WTOP is expanding its local sports coverage with a stronger focus on video, analysis and storytelling, bringing you closer to the teams and moments that matter most.

Don't forget:
- 60s-era Wilt Chamberlain is a cheat code
- LeBron's position flex is infinitely valuable
- The basketball world owes Elvin Hayes, Bob McAdoo, Lenny Wilkins and World B. Free an apology for not giving them their full legacy props
What I’ve learned from playing a hundred hours of 82-0
- Moses Malone was a beast
- Isaiah Thomas (DET)…not amazing stats for your lore
- How did Steve Nash only score 17 ppg and 10 agp in a decade with 2 MVPs?
- George Gavin must’ve been a walking bucket
- Bernard King was the best player for like 3 different franchises
- Charles Barkley, sorry for not respecting your game
- Indiana has zero players in their franchise history with amazing stats
The @Nationals are one of MLB's best road teams, yet sport a 12-20 record at Nats Park. @spencernusbaum_ speaks on the split nobody can explain and why this 6-game homestand starts "the most important games the Nationals have played in a long time" @WTOP https://t.co/8usoSBgDel
When FIFA divvied up the 2026 World Cup, the District and Baltimore made their pitch and got turned away. But the nation's capital still has its fingerprints all over the international showcase. My column @WTOP https://t.co/iRF0eH7uyP

Bombshell: The Browns are finalizing a trade that will send two-time Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams, per @rapsheet, @TomPelissero and me.
In exchange for Garrett, the Rams are expected to send Pro-Bowl edge Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick and other draft-pick compensation still being negotiated to the Browns.
Abdul Carter says he will only address Jaxson Dart introducing Donald Trump one time:
"Some things are bigger than football, and this is one of those things.
Jaxson is one of our leaders - he's the face of our franchise. He represents himself and what he does, and he represents all of us.
If he chooses to align himself with a man like President Trump, it's my responsibility based on what I believe and what I stand on to not only show my teammates that I'm against that, but to show the world.
That doesn't mean that we have to spread hate. That doesn't mean that me and Jaxson hate each other or we have beef. I sit next to Jaxson every day - we're close, we talk.
As long as we make sure we have the same goal as a team, and our goals align - which they do -that's all that matter.
I just want to move past this."
Nationals beat reporter @MarkZuckerman spoke to WTOP's @RobWoodfork about how the Nationals have exceeded expectations and whether the team is "the new Commanders." https://t.co/I6Sy3g3WLI
The @Nationals are not just MLB’s highest scoring team — they’re playing winning baseball far above expectations. @MarkZuckerman says how we got here, if it’s sustainable and how these Nats compare to the 2024 Commanders. My column: @WTOP https://t.co/bneG5a8Rdh
James Wood is having a hot start for the Nationals, he is the only player this season with 15 HR and 10 stolen bases 🤯
Wood is the second player in Nationals history to hit those marks before June, joining Alfonso Soriano in 2006 🔥
I know it's not an in-town comparison but these Nationals feel more like the 2017 Rams to me: Historically young rookie HC, young team and played way above expectations (finished 11-5, won NFC West after 10 straight losing seasons).
The 2026 Washington Nationals remind me of the 2024 Washington Commanders:
- New front office & coaching staff breathing much-needed new life into the franchise
- Elite offense led by a phenom (Jayden Daniels & James Wood)
- Great on the road
- Good injury luck

Upon further analysis of the @Commanders' 2026 schedule, @SharpFootball joins me to explain why this season's slate makes up for last year but again proves the #NFL's priorities are out of order. My column on @WTOP: https://t.co/equhjwI2uQ
leaks for the first 9 weeks of the Commanders schedule
this looks brutal
weeks 2, 5, 7 tbd
also, not sure why the NFL put both Eagles games in the first 8 weeks of the season
