De eed is afgelegd en de eerste maand zit erop. Een mooi moment om te delen dat ik ben gestart als ondernemende ambtenaar om te bouwen aan onze digitale samenleving.

Ik ga werken aan een maatschappij waar we AI verantwoord in kunnen zetten. In het AI Validatie Team ga ik aan de slag om tools te ontwikkelen. Deze tools gaan uiteraard een rol spelen in het valideren van algoritmes en op die manier een bijdrage leveren aan transparantie, betrouwbaarheid en reproduceerbaarheid. Voor mij is dit een mooi nieuw hoofdstuk om een vervolg te geven aan thema’s waar ik met @AskAnnaHQ al veel mee bezig was.

Wij opereren als team binnen de Directie Digitale Samenleving. Vanuit daar gaan we o.a. met beleidsmakers samenwerken aan concrete hulpmiddelen om AI te valideren. We kiezen er daarbij voor om op een open manier te ontwikkelen, tenzij het niet anders kan. Dit is een nieuwe manier van open en transparant samenwerken waar ik heel veel zin in heb om daar mijn bijdrage aan te leveren.

But what drives this change? Could it be a proactive step ahead of new EU regulations to boost competition in the cloud sector? Or perhaps a tactical play to increase their market share? 🤔

I guess we will never know. Let's just be happy with this move. Because one thing is certain: this decision significantly increases freedom in choosing where to store your data and host your compute power! 🌤️

This country with companies/founders like Adyen, ASML, Philips, Unilever, Snowflake, Mollie, Booking, TomTom and many others has zero pride in its startups.

I love the Netherlands, but startups are not celebrated here and it’s a huge shame.
