@corbinbernsen I hear you collect snow globes! This is a long shot, but any chance you have or have access to a snow globe like the one in the movie “While You Were Sleeping” (1995)? I’ve been looking for one for years…
Today’s #WorkMusic is “Pathogenic Ocular Dissonance” by Tourniquet, brought to life on special edition vinyl no less!
Tourniquet has a special place in my heart, and Ted Kirkpatrick was a unique man with a very specific style which just clicked with my brain. Amazing album!
I’m not sure there could be a better musical episode of a TV show other than the Scrubs musical episode. It is so well done. How the music represents the characters, how the story progresses through the music. Amazing.
Today’s #WorkMusic is “Truthless Heroes” (2002) by Project 86! A hard rock album with a distinct sound that I used to spin endlessly back in my early college days. Fun to re-listen to after so long! #Project86#TruthlessHeroes
Hard to believe this album is 20 this year! Today’s #WorkMusic is Opeth’s “Ghost Reveries” (2005). I remember distinctly spending money I really didn’t have to spend on a brand new CD on this album my freshman year at ASU. I use this album a lot to test new audio setups.
It’s time my annual listen through of my birthday album, Extol’s “Undeceived”. Also did some mighty-tedious metal model building. #ThisIs38#Extol#BirthdayAlbum@ExtolOfficial
Tried something different yesterday evening. I put on a movie (Stranger Than Fiction) and just sat and watched it. No phone, no snacks, no distractions. Just focused on one thing. It’s a fun experience! I noticed lots of details I haven’t seen before.
The movie “Stranger Than Fiction” (2006) is an under-appreciated classic. Will Ferrell tries out some more subtle/dramatic chops (and succeeds), the cinematography is far above what the movie probably called for, and the writing is superb. Highly recommended!
@Rothmus For the record, this is not the 1812 Overture. This is most likely a piece by John Corigliano called “Circus Maximus” which ends with a shotgun blast. I was fortunate enough to play this piece at ASU back when I was in college. Fun experience!
