A £300m defence contract awarded to Ascent will upgrade #UKMFTS Mission Aircrew training at #RNASCuldrose & #RAFCranwell, enhancing UK defence capabilities and investing in local communities. FIRCTS will deliver advances to trainee aircrew to meet growing frontline demands.
.@DefenceHQ has invested £300m into the development & delivery of the Future ISTAR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition & Reconnaissance) & Rear Crew Training System, a programme using simulated environments to meet the growing ISTAR demands of the military front line.
DE&S has awarded a £300 million FIRCTS contract to Ascent Flight Training to improve flying training for RAF and Royal Navy trainees.

"Future ISTAR and Rear Crew Training System (FIRCTS)" will see recapitalised structures at Culdrose and Cranwell and new simulators with 68 new positions at Ascent (instructors etc, presumably). There is however no mention of increasing fleet of 4 Textron King Air 350E AVENGER.
