@USCIWitness @EleanorIWitness @Union__Jacks I wouldn't use the word comparison, but let students connect them. Then help them draw distinctions as well. I certainly think this belongs in the context of genocide. I think many teachers are struggling to know how to talk about #metoo still.

A4: #IWitnessChat This is probably the most vexing issue raised. Clearly at age app. levels But I frankly think it is important to talk about these distinctions when talking about any conflict. The impact on women is different in some ways and we can't sugar coat this.

@Union__Jacks @USCIWitness @EleanorIWitness Agreed. Although I am not sure how practicable it is to have counselors on hand. I think it is about how do you preface this with your students ahead of the clip. If they are learning this history because of the clip, it can be traumatic to hear.

@EleanorIWitness @USCIWitness I doubt most k-12 classrooms would a clip that graphic not be potentially problematic. Maybe seniors in a specialized class dealing with Genocide...and certainly post secondary is fine.
