Rand Paul reveals Washington spent $4,600,000 of YOUR money to find out whether getting drunk makes you FALL DOWN.
Another $3,000,000 went to studying whether eating ants fights global warming.
$7,000,000 on a “smart toilet” that photographs your backside.
And $2,000,000 to learn if hot tubs help you relax.
Rand Paul kept the receipts. It gets dumber:
• NIH spent $1,000,000 to help people get over their fear of the dentist.
• USAID spent $48,000,000 to help disconnected Tunisian youth cope with modern society.
• NIH spent $36,000,000 to find out why stress turns hair gray.
• Washington even sent money to Central America to train people on how to apply for U.S. grants. Yes, really. We paid them to get better at taking our money.
Not one American with an ounce of common sense would vote to approve a dime of this garbage.
The government pisses away billions like this and never stops asking for MORE.
I think there at least hundreds of City employees —union and non-union—who have seen the inefficiencies, lost opportunities, and ripoffs of taxpayers for years who will tip off our charter amendment auditor where to look for waste and corruption. I’ll guarantee anonymity to any City Employee who wants to blow the Whistle. Just call me or email me.
This whistleblower described unaccompanied children screaming, begging & clinging to the contractors who were paid by the Biden Admin to deliver them to their “families”. They were under orders not to engage with the children but were so disturbed they filed official reports with their supervisors. Joey was one of those supervisors & he was told to keep his mouth shut. He is speaking out because he is haunted by these reports & the horror of realizing the US govt was trafficking children. Where is the outrage from the open borders crowd? How come they care so much about “immigrants” but not about their children who come across the border to be handed off to people listed as a family member or parent, yet they have never met? If you are ignoring this because it makes Democrats look bad, shame on you.
This isn’t a matter of belief. It’s a matter of fact.
I was 7 years old, playing laser tag in our big front yard out in the country of Central Florida.
We had a neighbor three houses down that kept an aggressive red pit bull on a chain 24/7 to protect their yard.
On this beautiful sunny day during the summer, it broke it’s chain and it ran down the dirt road towards our house. I never saw him coming. But I heard him growling (not barking) so low I could feel the hair on the back of my head literally stand up. I had enough time to see him over my shoulder as he leapt directly at my head.
I ducked and curled into a ball on the ground expecting to get ripped to pieces.
I looked up and saw a real life hero that had sprinted from the back yard meet my attacker in mid air over my body. Champ, our golden retriever collie mix, was a ball of fury and both dogs fought over and around me.
There’s literally no way to describe how loud, violent and bone-chillingly fast two dogs fighting for their lives is. It was a tornado of teeth and legs.
At this point my father had run out to meet the dogs and the pit bull’s owner was running down the road too. My dad picked up the pit bull by it’s collar and both dogs were still fighting in mid air. With the neighbors help they were finally pulled off each other.
I stood up, in complete shock, and completely unscratched. Champ had a few minor scratches on his shoulder and the other dog’s nose was half off.
Our family dog literally saved my life.
AUSTIN MAN choked a family member, carried a gun he was banned from owning, and drove drunk after a violent fight with his ex on a highway overpass. Each time, he walked away with a few days in jail. He was just arrested for selling cocaine at Barton Springs.
He’s already back on the street on a bond.
Mark Vara was one of four men rounded up last month in APD's sting at the free side of the pool after a series of break-ins.
In 2020, Vara was arrested for choking a family member. He skipped court and disappeared for months. When he was finally caught, DA Jose Garza's office knocked the felony down to a misdemeanor. He got two days in jail.
In 2023, he was caught carrying a gun, which he wasn't legally allowed to have because of that conviction. Police also said he snuck pot into jail. Garza's office declined the jail charge and reduced the gun charge. He got five days.
In February of last year, a 911 caller's line picked up what sounded like a physical fight. Deputies found Vara on the Highway 71 overpass, his car half-blocking a lane, driver's window shattered, clothes caked in mud, holding his dog. His ex-gf was gone because a stranger helped her get a ride to a gas station.
He skipped court on that one too. Three days in jail.
Three months after that sentence, police say he was dealing cocaine at Barton Springs.
His bonded out with $2,500.
15 cases since 2012. Every felony charge dismissed, declined, or reduced. Longest sentence: 90 days.
In December 2024, 14-year-old Emmarae Gervasi disappeared from her Long Island home barefoot and without a jacket.
For 26 days, her father, Frank, barely stopped searching.
He offered a $15,000 reward, flooded social media with pleas for information and followed every lead he could find.
Then, on January 3, 2025, he received a tip.
Emmarae was supposedly being held on a boat docked in Islip.
Frank drove there himself.
Before police even arrived, he forced his way onto the vessel and found his daughter alive inside.
“I did find her myself before the police got there,” he later said.
“It was 26 days of hell.”
Police soon arrested Francis Buckheit.
Prosecutors later alleged Emmarae had been held on his 56-foot boat for weeks and s**ually ab*sed there.
Then the case widened.
Other suspects were arrested on allegations that Emmarae had been se*ually exploited for drugs and money while she was missing.
By August 2026, authorities had arrested 13 people connected to the case, and at least one defendant had pleaded guilty to sex trafficking.
After nearly a month missing, Emmarae’s father was the person who finally opened the door and brought her home.
Today, I held a field hearing in San Antonio to examine ICE's growing and harmful presence in our city, and push back against the proposed ICE warehouse on the East Side.
Alongside elected officials, we heard from witnesses—including legal advocates, faith leaders, and former law enforcement—about how ICE's presence has already hurt families, workers, and public safety in San Antonio. A new detention center would only deepen that harm and be a blow to the local economy.
Thank you to everyone who is using their voice to stand up against ICE in our community and across the country.
Good news: Wilber Garces Perez finally had surgery to remove the bullet that was in his back for 11 days.
It took far too long, and it's more proof of ICE cruelty. But we kept up the pressure, and Wilber got the care he needed.
Speaking up for our neighbors works.

@EllenTroxclair We have been living with this garbage for years! Please explain WHY it has taken so long to drag @josepgarza into the #txlege#txlege has failed AUSTINITES by waiting so long.
Travis County DA Jose Garza didn’t show up to defend his own failed policies - the ones that let repeat offenders walk free while victims & their families are left to fend for themselves. Austin is more dangerous because of him. And the #txlege is ready to do something about it.
Stepdad slapped his wife right in front of her son… then apparently forgot who was standing in the room. The son snapped, stepped in, and KO’d him. Now people are divided: Was the son protecting his mother, or did he take things way too far?
