A couple got married last year.

A few months ago, his wife got a promotion that doubled her salary. Everybody was happy. At least, that's what we thought.

One evening, the wife suggested they move to a better apartment since they could now afford it comfortably. The husband said no.
The wife offered to cover most of the extra cost. The husband still said no. Eventually, she asked him directly: "Would you have a problem with this if you were the one paying?" The guy didn't answer immediately.

A week later, the argument got worse. The wife's position was simple: "If we're married, why should it matter whose income made the upgrade possible?"

The husband's position was also simple: "As a man, I don't want to feel like I'm living above my own means because of my wife."

I listened to both sides and honestly couldn't tell say anything yet. Who do you think was being unreasonable?

There's a situation I'm in right now.
Please, I need your honest advice.

There's an old friend of mine, he wants to help me with something very important, he told me I will make part payment before he proceeds, and pay the balance afterward.

Based on this agreement, I proceeded to make a 50% deposit.
But to my surprise, he's saying I must make at least 85% deposit, and I don't have such an amount at the moment.

So, I'm like why didn't you specify the amount or percentage you will accept as deposit from the onset, that way, I will only ask you to start work when I know I have your full deposit.

Who's at fault in this case?
I'm getting upset already. People must learn to mention specifics when doing business.
