👏 Following his retirement from football, everyone at Leeds United congratulates James Milner on an outstanding career and wishes him all the very best for the future
Yesterday, Taylor Harwood-Bellis mocked Luke Ayling for his stammer.
Here’s a video of Ayling discussing what it’s like to live with a stammer and his journey.
Anyone who mocks him after watching a video like this should hang their head in shame.
When you think about #LUFC’s recent past:
Players refusing to play, demanding to be transferred, having to train on their own, being told by their club captain: “if you don’t want to be here, f*** off”.
Contrast all of that to:
Gabriel Gudmundsson - who no one thought should’ve been sent off (including the referee) - going over to the Leeds fans and shaking their hands and personally apologising for seeing red.
Had his name sung at the weekend and again today. An outstanding player and even better guy - someone who epitomises the spirit of this group.
And the difference in culture between certain players of the recent past; and the way this team conducts themselves, has never been more stark.
Fun fact, mentally this was supposed to be my last Leeds game. I’d decided I was ending my life after it, the fact that I’m still here to watch us both play in the premier league makes me eternally grateful I never made that permanent decision for a temporary feeling. I have never felt better, IT DOES GET BETTER. have a great new year everyone #lufc #SAFC
I’ll never not watch this video. It’ll never not make me cry.
It’s really powerful is this video. Let me tell you why.
The hurt I feel through watching this video, hearing of life that didn’t need to end.
Many of us have been Bryn in this video, and unfairly lost a friend
