The people of Hong Kong have risked much more than money to defend their freedom of expression, human rights, and autonomy. I hope the @NBA can learn from that courage and not abandon those values for the sake of their bottom line.
The decision at @Blizzard_Ent to publicly oppose the Hong Kong protests is incredibly shameful, transparently corporate, and downright fucking evil.
We can't do much individually, but voicing our opinions with our wallets is a start.

Crazy Earl talking: It’s not my call, but if Gaben legit announces Half-Life 3, I will use all the leverage and influence I can to get our game on Valve’s store as soon as reasonably possible. No promises, but I would go as bananas for HL3 as you all are going for Borderlands 3.
@DuvalMagic@Robethx I fully support you guys if you want to have it on the Epic Games launcher. But exclusivity deal is too much. Maybe there could be a "discount" on the epic launcher. I too have many games on many launchers. But i just worry about the public's opinions here...
@DuvalMagic@alevanderBatman@Robethx I as consumer don't gain anything from such deal between e.g. you and Epic.
Making game exclusive to single storefront is against my interest as consumer as choice is made for me without options existing. We have seen it again and again with these EGS deals.
@DuvalMagic@Robethx The use of a service means I condone their features and practices. Myself, like many others, have made it clear for the past months that Epic's approach by buying exclusivity and forcing users to user their store is not competitive and anti-consumer.
@DuvalMagic@alevanderBatman@Robethx I'm quite happy with how Steam handles things. From guides to reviews/message boards. The friend list integration etc. Support Epic that's fine with me but don't make it exclusive!
@DuvalMagic@Robethx One storefront offers Linux support, Family Sharing, abilty to easily install mods, cloud saves, ability to buy it from China, abilty to easily play the game on PC with a Switch Pro controller, DS4, etc and configure it how I want. The other... doesnt.
@DuvalMagic@Robethx I care. Users who prefer to have a choice of which store they buy from care. I refuse to buy from Epic Game Store. So if your game is only available on Epic Game Store, you've lost me as a customer.
@DuvalMagic I prefer the freedom of choice (even if that means different prices on different marketplaces). I'd rather not support a retailer whose methods I don't agree with.
