A thought about Annaya @KChiruTweets is always a source of joy. While I walk along the memory lane on this special day ,these are few memories I have tumbled upon.
In our childhood, he went away from home to pursue his college education in Narsapur. And his homecoming for summer holidays was a festive season. A big pain and disappointment used to follow when he used to go back for his college. We all used to miss his absence and feel the vacuum. Home was never vibrant till he was back.
In my school days, just walking beside him was a proud moment. I used to feel like I am walking with the world's most important person; by then, he was just in college.
When he used to ride my father’s bike (Bullet - 350 cc) with his curly long hair, fit NCC Cadet body with bell bottoms and glasses - oh! it was an absolutely fanboy and hero-worshipping moment.
My Annaya was always a Hero for me even before he became a Hero.
In the early days of his film career, he brought a big blue bag from his first Singapore trip. In that blue bag I found my first tiny Lego helicopter, few remote cars, racing track, some comics, music tapes, tape recorder ,scented Yardley Co. powders, soaps ,few perfumes and other small gifts to others. He always brought us joy and smiles into our small home.
In subsequent years, when he got married, I was worried that he would be away from all of us. And I was crying silently in a room. Then he brought my Vadina and said, “Come, I will introduce you to a big man (Pedda Manishi) today.” They both were laughing while they found the reason for my tears.
Then, following years, I was taken to Chennai (then Madras) to stay with Annaya and Vadina. I don’t have enough words for the love and care they showered on me.
I had seen his struggle, hard work and injuries in shoots. Everyday he used to reach home in the middle of the night after 18 hours shift of laborious work in his sweat-drenched costumes and shoes in the Chennai’s heat and humidity; with hardly any strength to stand…
I used to feel guilty for living off on his hard work and sacrifice. But he never even uttered a word about my academic failures and lack of direction in my life.
The way he lighted up our family and relatives with his generosity and he extended the same spirit to his friends, producers, film fraternity and everyone he touched. He is one of the primary and key persons who acted as a cultural bridge between the South and Hindi film industry. He always believed in Indian cinema. Pratibandh and Aaj Ka GoondaRaj were two of his blockbusters in Hindi.
A tech-savvy person, his astounding medical knowledge, his philanthropic nature, a family man, superstardom to megastardom, Central Cabinet Minister, National Awards, highest civilian honors (Padma Vibhushan).
What he hadn’t seen and achieved, but he never rests. After a major spinal operation recently, he bounces back within no time with his strength training and goes back to work. Like a city never sleeps, he’s a man who never rests. He’s born with an unstoppable motor within. That’s why he’s become our beloved ‘Mega Star’ and my only Hero.
Let ‘Mother Nature’ provide you my Dear Annaya @KChirutweets abundant health, super strength and astounding victories on your life path.
Wishing my Annaya on his birthday is not a formality but a gentle reminder to many like me ; how his life has impacted, influenced and transformed millions like me to build a better future and to lay a stronger foundations for the land of Bharath -we all adore and worship.
Jai Hind !!

Stardom is not a democratic process. Nobody votes and gives it to you. Nobody politely moves aside and offers you the throne.
YOU TAKE IT.
And when you talk about Konidela Shiva Shankara Vara Prasad…when you talk about the man an entire industry would one day call Megastar…you don’t talk about luck.
You talk about hunger. You talk about obsession. You talk about a man who came from nowhere, entered an industry that owed him absolutely nothing, and slowly made it impossible for that industry to exist without him.
And strangely, it all began with a failure.
He wanted to become a police officer. The uniform, the discipline, the authority…that was the dream. But an exam didn’t go his way. To cheer him up, his father took him to a movie.
Sometimes, one ordinary day can completely change the direction of a life.
He walked into that theatre wanting one kind of power and walked out fascinated by another.
CINEMA.
Because a police officer could command a room.
But a man on that giant screen?
He could command thousands of people sitting in thousands of rooms.
And #Chiranjeevi wanted that.
But wanting to become a star is easy. Thousands come to cinema wanting the same thing.
Waiting for your turn when you believe you belong there…that is the difficult part.
At acting school, Chiranjeevi trained, learned and prepared himself. But while he was still waiting, people around him started moving ahead. His own batchmates were getting noticed. Sudhakar was picked by filmmakers like Bharathiraja.
Imagine sitting there and watching someone who started beside you suddenly move ahead of you.
That kind of wait can do two things.
It can break you.
Or it can make you dangerously hungry.
For Chiranjeevi, it did the second.
Every day of waiting added something. Every opportunity somebody else got added something. Every moment away from the screen made the desire to get there even stronger.
And finally, the door opened.
#Punadhirallu.
The foundation stones.
Quite fitting, because that was exactly what those early years were becoming.
Not the beginning of a career.
The foundation of a conquest.
But even then, Telugu cinema didn’t immediately make him its hero.
They gave him negative roles. Supporting characters. Smaller parts.
And Chiranjeevi took them.
Because he understood something very early.
You don’t need the biggest role if you can become the biggest presence in the frame.
Put him beside the hero and your eyes slowly started moving towards him.
One look.
One movement.
One dialogue.
One dance step.
There was something there that the size of the role simply couldn’t contain.
The characters were supporting characters.
Chiranjeevi wasn’t.
He didn’t stand outside the gates asking somebody to make him a hero.
He kept entering the frame and taking more and more of it until ignoring him became impossible.
Eventually, the camera had no choice.
It had to follow him.
And once it did…
the takeover began.
Films came.
Hits came.
Bigger hits came.
Records came.
Records broke.
And then new records came carrying his name again.
But forget the numbers for a moment.
Because numbers alone cannot explain Chiranjeevi.
Look at the people.
An entire generation wanted to dance like him. Walk like him. Style their hair like him. Deliver a dialogue like him. Even the smallest mannerism became something people wanted to copy.
That’s when you know a movie star has become something bigger.
When he doesn’t remain inside the theatre.
He walks out with the audience.
Into their homes.
Into their streets.
Into their language.
Into their lives.
And Chiranjeevi kept taking territory.
The screen.
The box office.
The youth.
The masses.
One after another.
Until eventually, Telugu cinema had its Number One.
But even Number One couldn’t fully explain what was happening.
Because for some time the question was:
Who is Number One?
(1/2)

The throne wasn’t waiting for Chiranjeevi.
There wasn’t even a throne big enough for what he was becoming.
So he built one.
He conquered the screen. He conquered the audience. He conquered an era.
And by the time the industry called him #Megastar, it wasn’t a title anymore.
It was an acknowledgement of surrender.
Happy Birthday, Megastar Chiranjeevi.

Telugu Cinema Was Slowly Evolving Through the 1970s Period.
Audiences were gradually moving from the established superstars to a new generation of young blood.
Some moved into politics.
Some stepped away into retirement.
Some turned towards production and studios.
By the 1980s, the throne was waiting for its next STAR.
Several star kids entered the industry with the advantage of their legacy. Some had talent, some had hard work, and some had sheer persistence.
But then came a young, charismatic man in a black vest and black pants, with his hands on his cuffs.
In 1983, Telugu Cinema witnessed something special.
And from that moment, the “C” in Cinema started echoing one name #CHIRANJEEVI. 💥⭐
A STAR WAS BORN.
A GENERATION WAS BORN.
And the legacy continues.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE ONE & ONLY MEGASTAR @KChiruTweets ❤️🔥
There is only ONE Megastar.
The rest are just coins & NOISE.
