Dear Cornwall Council,
We are deeply concerned how this change in partnership at Cornwall Airport Newquay will affect Cornish Businesses and the local economy.
Please see our letter from John Brown below.
Here in Cornwall we have more houses than the permanent population. We just can’t access them. New houses are too expensive and in the wrong place. 2nd homes and holiday lets get priority. More new homes won’t solve our problems.
@RachelReevesMP@AngelaRayner It is laudable to get the UK building again. More houses = more demand on water, sewage, electricity. Are you scaling up utilities to match your growth ambitions, or do reservoirs to run dry, the national grid buckle, more sewage flow into the sea?
@CornwallCouncil thinks it’s ok to license an event in a semi-ancient woodland in a county wildlife site upstream from a site of special scientific interest in an AONB, where people are bussed in to have a p*ss up, disrupting wildlife, livestock & communities.

The Mid-Cornwall Metro is a great scheme and long overdue. Like all other infrastructure investment in Cornwall it will only benefit South Cornwall. Cornwall north of the Camel Estuary clearly holds no value or importance for Cornwall Council #BBCSpotlight https://t.co/EPksVVQykY
Never have an elderly parent in South Africa with an @MWEBTweets email account. Shocking customer service with discontinued phone numbers on their website. Just appalling. Don’t how they can claim to be leading anything other than a piss-up in a paper bag.
Frustrating!? Incompetent more like. Every time I try and travel with @GWRHelp something goes wrong. This time the knock on effect is whether I can get to LHR on time for my international flight. But never mind the rest of us @GWRHelp you keep doing you. 🤯
It is incredibly concerning to hear the Home Secretary @SuellaBraverman stand against United Nations conventions that the vast majority of the world’s nations have signed or ratified.

As a woman, one of three people of colour holding a great office of state in a majority white country, and the child of immigrants, @SuellaBraverman has personally benefited from multiculturalism. Irony isn’t the only thing she has no clue about.
Multiculturalism "has failed because it allowed people to come to our society and live parallel lives in it"

We are appalled to hear that the Home Secretary is questioning the legitimacy of LGBTQI+ people claiming asylum in the UK. Many #LGBTQ+ people that we support every day tell us how they faced life-threatening situations back home.

I love working in evaluation & data, esp when it contributes to equity (eg small ways like shining light on minoritised groups experiences). But our world views can also affect choices we make as evaluators.
Good tips in here from @NPCthinks on taking a more equitable approach👇
Cisgender members of the LGBTQ+ community have an overwhelmingly positive view of trans people
Cis LGBTQ+ Britons: 75% positive
Cis gay men: 65%
Cis bi men: 65%
Cis bi women: 84%
Cis lesbian women: 84%

It’s so disappointing @UKLabour . What has happened to you? 🤷♀️ You’re supposed to be the party that looks out for minorities. Where’s your #Pride? 🌈🏳️⚧️
